a: guys who like watching b-movies, horror movies,
and the occasional cult classic.
- victor: victor is a computer nerd and a b-movie
fan. he's been watching b-movies since august 2000,
although he's always liked godzilla and ray
harryhausen stop-action films. he likes 80s slasher
flicks, the a-team, and thinks mystery of chess
boxing is the best kung fu film ever.
- syme: syme is our resident well-rounded movie
buff. he's dabbled in psychology, art, and computer
science and has been watching all sorts of movies
for years. he's a big fan of everything bruce
campbell (even brisco county jr.), especially
liking the evil dead trilogy. he has the world's
most eclectic recorded-from-tv video collection.
- q: what's
the_crowbar?
a: the_crowbar is a website that exists for the
purpose of providing entertaining reviews of b-movies,
horror movies, and cult classic films. we figured that
we watched as many b-movies as anybody else, so why not
start our own b-movie site? we could not find a good
reason not to, so we created the_crowbar. oh, we wanted
to preserve joe bob's scripts, too, and
this is a good place to do it.

the_crowbar?
a: it sounds good, and it made a cool acronym.
- q: would you please review my
movie?
a: pass your suggestion our way, and if it looks
appealing and if we can find it, then, sure, we'll try
to review it.
- q: where can i buy
b-movies?
a: anywhere! in the bargain baskets at wal-mart,
k-mart, in yard sales, at rental store closeouts, and
all over the net.
- q: your review of movie
x sucked.
a: so? we didn't ask to you to visit our site.
besides, that's a statement, not a question. go
somewhere else if you don't like our reviews.
- q: but, dude, movie x
is a good movie. why are you doggin' it?
a: you know what? we probably agree with you: movie
x probably is a good movie, but we wanted to
review it, and to review it here, we have to call it a
b-movie and treat it as such.
- q: i've never seen star wars.
what do you think about it?
a: mmm, this is a good one. it's a good flick--too
mainstream to be a pure b-movie, but a good flick.
(just curious here, but have you ever seen yourself in
the mirror?)

a: on two terms, yes, you can:
- you do not make money off the content, and
- you credit us as the creator of the
content
as a side note, we're not copyright whores--we just
want credit to be given where credit is due, and,
daggumit, if we can't make money off this site,
neither can you!

booties?
a: nope. never will. there's plenty other folks out
there that can help you find what you're looking
for.
- q: do you know where i can get
monstervision on tape/dvd/etc?
a: unfortunately, no. you might try eBay. as soon as we learn of a better source, we'll let you know.
